SkyTalk is designed with privacy at its core. We collect the absolute minimum information necessary to provide messaging functionality:
- Username only. Your chosen username is the only piece of identifying information we store. No email, no phone number, no real name required.
- Network information. As part of how the internet works, your IP address and network metadata are transmitted when you send messages. This is temporary and necessary for delivering communications.
What We Don't Collect
We explicitly do not collect:
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Real names or government IDs
- Location data
- Device identifiers
- Contacts from your phone
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Advertising identifiers
How We Use Information
We use information solely to:
- Enable messaging between you and your contacts
- Maintain your active session while you use the app
- Prevent abuse and spam on the platform
We do not: Sell your data, use it for advertising, build profiles about you, or share it with third parties for any purpose.
End-to-End Encryption
All messages in SkyTalk are end-to-end encrypted. This means:
- Only you and the intended recipient can read your messages
- We cannot decrypt or read your message content
- Message contents are not stored on our servers after delivery
Third-Party Services
SkyTalk does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use cookies for tracking purposes.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Delete your account and all associated information
